Tapered Bronze Bushing for Mining Equipment
Custom tapered bronze bushings cast and machined to your drawing, in tin bronze, aluminum bronze and manganese bronze grades for mining and heavy equipment.
A tapered bronze bushing carries radial and axial loads on a conical seat, which makes it a common choice where a straight sleeve would be difficult to retain or align. Because the taper is self-centering, the fit stays stable under shock loading and repeated assembly. We cast and machine tapered bushings to your drawing, or reverse-engineer them from a worn sample when no drawing is available.
Design and materials
Taper angle, wall thickness and lubrication grooves are made to your drawing. Typical grades include C93200 (SAE 660) tin bronze for medium-load service, C93700 where dirt or grit is present, C95400 aluminum bronze for impact and abrasion, and C86300 manganese bronze for high-strength applications. Manufacturing and inspection
We use centrifugal, sand and metal mold casting depending on size and quantity, followed by in-house CNC machining to drawing. Each batch is checked by spectrometer for composition and by hardness testing before shipment. More detail is available on our quality control page.
