Self-Lubricating Flanged Bronze Bushing

A self-lubricating flanged bronze bushing combines a bronze body with graphite plugs set into the sliding surface, so the running face keeps a lubricating film without a grease line. The flange locates the part axially and takes the mounting load, which suits guide sleeves, cylinder and press-tool pilots, and sliding points that are hard to reach for routine greasing. Because the graphite is embedded rather than coated, the bushing can be used in oscillating, intermittent and low-speed continuous motion.
Design and materials
Bronze grade is selected against load, speed and environment rather than a single "most wear-resistant" answer. Tin bronze such as C93200 (SAE 660) is a common choice for medium-load guide and bearing duties, while aluminium bronze grades such as C95400 are used where impact and abrasive conditions are present. Graphite plug pattern, plug size and coverage are set with the sliding direction and load zone in mind, and the flange diameter, thickness and bolt pattern are machined to the mating housing.

Typical applications
These bushings are used in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder guides, stamping and die-set pilots, machine-tool slides, and general sliding components on mining and heavy equipment where a grease point is impractical. Manufacturing and inspection
We cast in-house by centrifugal, sand or metal mould methods, then machine and check the part in one flow. Composition is verified by spectrometer and hardness is tested before shipment.
