Multi-cylinder cone crushers rely on a set of bronze wear components to carry eccentric loads, protect the main frame and keep the crushing chamber stable. Because these parts sit at the centre of the load path, their fit, alloy choice and internal soundness matter as much as the alloy itself. We cast and machine this family of parts to your drawing or to a worn sample, covering socket liners (bowl-shaped washers), upper and lower cone bushings, eccentric bushings, thrust bearings and drive shaft bushings.

Design & materials

Each position in the crusher works under different conditions, so the alloy is matched to the duty rather than chosen by habit. Tin bronze such as C93200 (SAE 660) is common for medium-load bushings, C93700 is often used where dirt and grit are present, and aluminium bronze C95400 is selected for higher impact and abrasion. Manganese bronze C86300 is used where high strength is needed. All alloys are melted in our own furnace, so a specified grade can be cast directly.

  • Socket liner / bowl-shaped washer: spherical contact with the cone bottom, oil-fed through the main shaft
  • Upper and lower cone bushings: fitted in the cone assembly to protect the body
  • Eccentric bushing: installed inside the eccentric, together with the bearing seat
  • Thrust bearing: reduces wear and locates the rotating assembly
  • Drive shaft bushing (pulley bushing): supports both ends of the horizontal shaft

Typical applications

These parts are used in mining and quarrying crushing circuits, aggregates and crushing plants, and cement plant raw and clinker lines. If you are sourcing for a specific machine, our crusher bronze parts range covers the common positions, and the mining industry page explains how we approach wear parts for crushing duty.

Manufacturing & inspection

We offer sand casting, centrifugal casting and metal mold casting, followed by in-house CNC machining to drawing. Centrifugal casting gives a denser structure than sand casting for round bushings. Each batch is checked by spectrometer for composition and by hardness testing before dispatch. Tell us the machine model, the position and the alloy you need, or send a worn part for reverse engineering.

Send your drawing or a worn sample for a free evaluation.
