Mining machinery bronze bushings are the plain-bearing components that carry shaft loads in crushers, conveyors, screens and other high-duty equipment. In these positions a bronze bushing has to absorb shock, resist seizure against a steel shaft and keep working where lubrication is intermittent. Haishan produces these bushings as custom castings, matched to the alloy and dimensions of your drawing or worn sample.

Design and materials

Alloy choice follows the duty of the joint rather than a single default grade. Tin bronze such as C93200 (SAE 660) is widely used for medium-load, medium-speed bearings, while aluminium bronze C95400 and manganese bronze C86300 are selected where impact and heavy load are present. Where a bushing runs with limited grease access, a graphite-plugged self-lubricating design can be supplied. Dimensions, wall thickness, flange form and oil grooves are made to your drawing.

  • Tin bronze and leaded tin bronze for general bearing duty
  • Aluminium bronze and manganese bronze for shock and high load
  • Graphite-plugged versions for restricted lubrication
  • Flanged, cylindrical and thrust forms available
  • OEM replacement and reverse-engineered copies from samples

Typical applications

These bushings are used in jaw and cone crusher eccentric positions, conveyor and screen shaft bearings, pump and valve trunnions, and pivot points on construction machinery. Because the operating conditions differ from one plant to another, the alloy and fit are reviewed against the actual load, speed and lubrication before casting. More detail on service conditions is available on our mining industry page and in the bronze bushing category.

Manufacturing and inspection

Casting, machining and checking are carried out in one workshop. Centrifugal casting is used for cylindrical bushings where a denser structure is wanted, while sand casting and metal mold casting cover larger or more complex shapes. Each heat is checked by spectrometer for composition, and finished parts are hardness tested in our own laboratory before dispatch. Send your drawing or a worn sample for a free evaluation.
