The inner eccentric bushing is a sliding bearing component used in cone and gyratory crushers, where it works together with the eccentric shaft to convert rotation into the eccentric motion that drives the crushing head. Running under sliding friction, it normally operates with a lubrication system so that an oil film separates the sliding surfaces, which helps reduce friction loss and surface wear while damping vibration and keeping the assembly quiet and stable.

Design & materials

Bronze is usually selected for its load capacity, corrosion resistance and machinability. Common choices include C93200 (SAE 660) tin bronze for general bearing duty, C93700 where dirt or grit is present, and C95400 aluminum bronze where higher strength and impact resistance are needed. We cast to your drawing or reverse-engineer a worn sample, matching the original alloy and dimensions.

  • Eccentric bore and outer diameter machined to drawing
  • Oil grooves, holes and chamfers produced as specified
  • Alloy matched to the original part or to your nominated grade
  • Available in centrifugal, sand or metal mold casting

Typical applications

These bushings are used in the eccentric assemblies of cone crushers and gyratory crushers, and in other heavy rotating equipment where a replaceable bronze wear component protects the shaft and housing. When the bushing wears, only the bushing is renewed, which helps avoid the cost of replacing a shaft or seat. See our crusher bronze parts for related socket liners and eccentric bushings.

Manufacturing & inspection

Casting and machining are completed in-house, so the bore, eccentric offset and fit are controlled from melt to finished part. Each batch is checked by spectrometer composition analysis and hardness testing before dispatch. Learn more about our quality control process.
