Crusher Copper Pad | Custom Bronze Wear Plates

Crusher copper pads are flat bronze wear components used where a machine needs a replaceable bearing surface rather than a full bushing. They sit between sliding or seating faces, absorb load and abrasion, and are usually the part that is renewed first during a rebuild. Because pad geometry is tied to the housing it fits, most pads are made to drawing or reverse-engineered from a worn original.

Design & materials

Pad material is selected against load, sliding speed, lubrication and the counterface it runs on. Common choices include C93200 (SAE 660) tin bronze for general medium-load service, C93700 where dirt or grit is present, and C95400 aluminium bronze where impact and abrasion dominate. Hardness, wall thickness and oil grooves are set to suit the application rather than a single stock size.

Manufacturing & inspection

Pads are produced by sand casting, centrifugal casting or metal mold casting depending on shape and quantity, then finished by in-house CNC machining to the drawing.
