Custom Cast Bronze Wind Wheel for Heavy Equipment

A bronze wind wheel is a rotating cast component used in air-moving, cooling and material-handling equipment, where the part must hold its shape under continuous rotation while resisting wear and corrosion. Because the geometry is usually project-specific, the practical route is a custom casting made to your drawing or a worn sample rather than a catalogue item.

Design and material selection

Bronze covers a wide range of behaviour, so the alloy should follow the duty rather than the other way round. Tin bronze such as C93200 (SAE 660) and C90700 is often chosen for general bearing and rotating duties, aluminium bronze such as C95400 and C95800 tends to suit higher load and impact conditions, and manganese bronze C86300 is used where higher strength is needed. Manufacturing and inspection

We combine casting and machining under one roof, using centrifugal casting, sand casting and metal mold casting, followed by in-house CNC machining to drawing. Centrifugal casting is typically used where a denser structure is wanted for a rotating part. Each batch is checked by spectrometer composition analysis and hardness testing before it leaves the works; more detail is on our quality control page.
