Bronze Guide Bushing for Heavy Equipment

A bronze guide bushing is a sliding bearing element that supports and locates a moving shaft, reducing friction and wear at the guide point. In mining and heavy equipment, guide bushings are often exposed to shock loads, dust and limited lubrication, so the alloy and the casting method matter as much as the final dimensions. Haishan produces guide bushings to drawing or sample, matching the original material grade where required.

Design and materials

Guide bushings are usually specified in tin bronze such as C93200 (SAE 660) for medium loads and general sliding duty, or in aluminum bronze such as C95400 where impact and abrasive conditions are present. Manganese bronze C86300 is used where higher strength is needed. Graphite-plugged versions can be supplied for points that cannot be greased regularly. Wall thickness, flange or plain profile, oil grooves and clearance are all made to the customer's drawing.

Typical applications

Guide bushings are found at pivot points, guide columns, slide ways and linkage joints on crushers, screens, conveyors and construction machinery. They are also used in pump and valve assemblies where a bronze running surface is preferred over steel-on-steel contact. Manufacturing and inspection

We cast by centrifugal, sand or metal mold method depending on size and quantity, then machine in-house to the drawing. Each batch is checked by spectrometer for composition and by hardness testing before shipment. If you only have a worn part, we can reverse-engineer it and match the original alloy.
